New features in Epygi's version 5.3 software

New features in Epygi's version 5.3 software 1. Directed Call Park The
call park feature has been expanded to allow users to define the extension they
wish to park the call on. Park extensions can be mapped directly to IP phones
or simply announced via paging through the IP phones or analog paging system.
Calls can be easily parked by placing the current call on hold and then
pressing the park button followed by the desired extension. This can be further
simplified if the desired park extension is already mapped to the phone, then
the user will just press that specific park key and the call will automatically
be parked to that extension. 2. IP Phone Key Assignment Templates Templates
are now available to define a set of extensions mapped to keys on IP phones.
These templates can be used for multiple IP phones to streamline installation
and configuration of multiple phones. 3. Find Me/Follow Me Enhancement The
Find Me/Follow Me announcement message is now customizable. Users can remove
the message, use the default, define a new recording or use music on hold. 4. P-Asserted-Identity Header Field Support Epygi
has added support for P-Asserted-Identity header field defined in RFC 3325.
This is utilized to retain original caller information even after a call is
transferred within the office. 5. Call Detail Record (CDR) Archiving and Recovery The
CDR database has been improved by adding archiving up to seven days. The
recovery mechanisms were added to ensure that no records are lost while
uploading them to an external server when there is a network outage or database
server disconnect. 6. Call Detail Record (CDR) Data Increase Based
on customer feedback, Epygi has increased the maximum number of stored CDRs
from 1,000 for all QuadroM and QX products. The new capacity can range from
3,000 records all the way to 10,000 records. Built into the Epygi PBXs are
other methods to offload this data to an external server or database for full
CDR handling. 7. Call Statistic Enhancement Statistics
gathered from the ACD feature and Find Me/Follow Me have been improved for
greater visibility of call flow. 8. IP Phone Auto Configuration Additions A
few new IP phones have been added to our certified list and now can auto
configure with the Epygi IP PBXs. The following are included: snom M9,
Panasonic KX-TGP550T04, KX-UT123-B, KX-UT136-B, Audiocodes 320HD and 310HD
phones. Epygi constantly tests and certifies new IP phone models, so keep
watching our supported list. Other models that will soon be added are recently
released versions of Polycom, Yealink and snom phones. 9. Call Intercept/Directed Call Pickup A
new feature code has been added to the Call Intercept feature allowing users to
dial *94 followed by the extension number to intercept an inbound call on
another extension. 10. DID Number Mapping on E1/T1 Calls DID
number to extension mapping has been made relatively easy. Now users can map a
specific DID to a local extension. This is available for inbound and outbound
calls. 11. Music on Hold (MoH) Options Epygi
users can now configure Music on Hold for all extensions to come from the audio
line in port on QuadroM8L, 12Li, 26x and 26xi products. The Epygi Media Stream
tool can also be used to feed MoH for all extensions. This tool allows
customers to upload .WAV or .MP3 files with custom message or music and stream
them to the Epygi PBX. 12. Auto Attendant (AA) Builder Integrated
into the Epygi IP PBXs is a web-based tool to build custom multi-level IVR
trees for the AA. Normally, users would build the AA using the powerful
VXML-coded option. With this new option the IVR is simplified with a web-based
graphical user interface. 13. IVR Builder Improvement A
few new options have been added to the GUI-based IVR builder integrated into
the Epygi IP PBXs. Repeated message play count, repeated message timeout duration
and timeout after welcome message options are now included in the IVR builder
tool. 14. Faxing via T.38 on IP Lines Fax
support over SIP using the T.38 protocol has been improved and added to IP
lines as well. This will help customer deploy fax machines behind an IP line
registered ATA or similar device. 15. Microsoft Exchange Voicemail Integration Please contact Product Management or your local sales representative with questions. Warren Sonnen Empowering small enterprises globally. Read more » | |

The Quadro4L is the latest solution from Epygi. This product will be replacing the Quadro6L, due to the tremendous customer feedback to add analog station ports to that product. The Quadro4L will offer four (4) FXO ports to access the PSTN for outbound calls. There will be two (2) FXS ports for analog phone connects, and in addition the Quadro4L will offer 16 IP phone support by default. An eight (8) port expansion license can be purchased to increase the IP phone support to 24 phones, bringing the total number of extensions to 26. In Key System Mode, only 12 IP phones can be configured. Please contact your local partner for ordering and availability information. Epygi QCM Product Update / 2011-12-07
Posted by Warren Sonnen on 18 Jan 2012 08:37 PM

The
Quadro Communications Manager (QCM) has reached end-of-sales status. QCM
development resources have been shifted to the new Epygi desktop console to
function as an end user heads up display(HUD). This product is tentatively
named the Epygi DCC (Desktop Control Console). Epygi
plans on releasing a beta version of the Epygi DCC early next year with a
general launch before mid 2012. This solution will cover most features expected
from a HUD type application. Specific features included in the DCC will be
detailed closer to launch. The Epygi DCC will not support voice or video calls,
so starting immediately Epygi will be referring all requests for a desktop
softphone to our third party solutions. Configuration
guides and even some advanced configuration options will be rolled out over the
next month or two for the CounterPath products. Today Epygi has an up-to-date
configuration guide for the CounterPath X-Lite solution. Please download this
guide from the Epygi Channel Portal in the Downloads section. Epygi

Epygi Technologies Launches the QX1000 IP PBX Epygi Technologies, Ltd., a worldwide provider of award-winning IP PBXs, gateways and conference servers, has launched the QX1000 pure SIP enterprise IP PBX. This solution can scale to 1,000 IP extensions and support a wide range of advanced business features.
The QX1000 supports a comprehensive range of enterprise-grade features including Video/Audio conferencing, Barge-in, ACD for call centers, Call Recording, XML API, Find-me Follow-me, Microsoft Outlook integration and softphone support for a PC or smartphone. A hot-standby option allowing redundant serves for companies requiring a higher level of survivability is also available. Since the QX1000 is a pure SIP solution, there are no traditional ports directly on the system, however, all of the Epygi gateway products automatically configure with the QX1000. These gateways can add ports for FXS analog phones, FXO, ISDN BRI or E1/T1 port access to the PSTN.
As with all the Epygi PBXs, the QX1000 software does not require expensive maintenance agreements for software upgrades. All upgrades are offered at no additional cost so there are no surprise fees with Epygi solutions. The QX1000 is a future-proof investment because feature enhancements are constantly applied to all of Epygi's products. An investment in Epygi products today secures support for new features tomorrow.
"Epygi is proud to expand the product selection beyond the small to medium business market. The QX1000 is the beginning of a new range of solutions designed for the enterprise market," says Warren Sonnen, Epygi's Director of Product Management.
