We know a PCMU codec ulaw or alaw uses around 85kbps, I just want to know why the quadro reports Received packet size as being 160. Is this 160 / 2 = 80 each way? The confusing thing is it reports 160 on the RX and TX. Is this a mistake or is the PCMU codec using 160 kbps?

Seems you've messed the bandwidth usage with packet size :) You are correct saying that PCMU codec ulaw or alaw uses around 85kbps bandwidth (with 20ms paketization interval), but the size (payload) of each packet is 160 bytes.
