I have no trouble configuring numeric trunk seizure prefixes (e.g. dial 9 and then the number to go out via some account, dial 8 and the number to dial via another account).
However, since I'm not using any outside line prefix for normal dialing, that approach blows up my call routing rules since they need to be specific enough to allow to differentiate between trunk seizure prefixes and regular numbers (e.g. here in Switzerland emergency numbers start with a 1.. so you'd need a rule for those, and a rule for selecting trunk "1" and those numbers, and trunk 1 and regular numbers (which all start with a 0)).
Thus, I've been using # + digit or ** + digit in my previous system to select a specific trunk (when they started encoding #, # stopped working, so I switched to ** making sure I don't have any overlaps with the already defined ** codes available on the system, e.g. for codec selection).
So when I was in training, we tried to replicate this, but without success. It seems # cannot even be entered, and ** + one digit has no effect.
Is there any way to get this done or am I stuck with the more complex call routing? Using some special code is also easier to teach people imho.. when they dial a star or a hash, they know they're using a special feature, and it's not so apparent when you restrict yourself to digits.
