Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place for this question.
I have an enquiry to supply a VoIP system to a small hotel (20 rooms/1 residance/1 Office)
They obviously require billing capabilities for the rooms.
Which Quadro would be suitable to handle this type of operation?
What about billing software?
Has anyone done a job like this?[/list]
Any suggestions/hints or even if you havehad experience with this type of installationwould be appreciated.

If you are going to install IP phones in the rooms then Quadro4X is the best choice. If the phones are analogue then you can use Quadro16x which supports 16 analogue phones. For office, residence and VIP rooms you can use IP phones - 6 in total to complete 22 phones.
For the small hotels like you mentioned, to do the billing you can write a Windows application using 3pcc interface on Quadro (Third Party Call Control). Later on you can add more features to that program like alarm, room status, etc. If you experience problems in writing the program you can outsource that to Epygi.

I have a small B&B with 15 rooms and have installed a q 4x with 20 plus ip phones and have found that very few guest use them, except for internet access. everybody uses cell phones if they only new how cheap it is to use our phones. When I wonder if any guest have made calls I check call statistics. This is a great system because I was able to remove 6 phones lines from bell south, I use only 2 lines and have an internet phone service from junction networks for .03 per min for other calls when needed. Plus by installing new wiring to the IP phones you are providing Internet access for the guest. This can be done with wireless access points to outlying bldgssmileys/smiley20.gif.
