Ericsson F220m GSM Gateway

We have a Quadro 2X & 6L both connected to Ericsson F220m GSM gateways. Both Quadros work fine for voice with the F220m gateways but we are having problems with DTMF tones.


DTMF tones from the celluar network to the quadros are very distorted. The tones are actually chopping on & off about twice a second, therefore no DTMF tones get through to the quadro making it impossible to use the auto attendent. Voice quality sound is very good. DTMF tones from the Quadro out to the celluar network are fine. It is only incoming that is having the problem.


I have tring changing the gain setings on the FXO ports but no improvment.


Anyone using one of the GSM gateways or have any ideas how I can resolve the problem?

Hi markadek, we have tested Quadro only with Ericsson G36 GSM gateway, but many of our customers are intensivelyusing Quadro with different models of FWTs. The problem with distorted DTMF digits is in your FWT's configuration. There is a parameter "Pass DTMF digits"in your GSM gateway, that must be enabled in order to pass correct DTMFs from CO to Quadro. Please refer to Ericsson manuals for more information, or either to your reseller, or Ericsson Technical Support.
