I am using a Quadro4x through a VOIP carrier. I have problems getting the Hiding Caller Information service to work.

I have gone through the instructions using the manual and have ticked the box to hide the caller ID (Users/Extention Managment/Click on the Extention Number/Supplementary Services/Caller Based ID Services) The out going land line number still shows up on the phone that is being called. We have a quadro4x (Firmware 4.1.28)with 3 lines coming in and one line going out through a VOIP Carrier and we are usingSnom 300 handsets.

Any help on this issues would be greatly appreciated on how to get this to work. Thank you. smileys/smiley36.gif

Hi Jetsupport. Pleaseuse not only the Quadro's manual but also Quadro's Online Help (the "Help" button is availabe on almost all pages)when configuring some Service. There is a note in the Hiding Caller Information service's Help page, that:

"Note: Even if the Hiding Caller Information service is enabled, it shall work only for internal PBX calls and SIP calls. If you call through FXO/ISDN port to a PSTN number, the called party will still see your caller ID. To hide your caller ID for PSTN destinations, contact your PSTN operator.".

The same istrue for VoIP providers as well. To hide the Caller ID when using PSTN/ISDN/VoIP services, you must contact your operator.

Hi

As a workaround i added 141 in the prefix box of the Call routing wizards 1st page, works a treat in the UK.

Give it a try

Hi allthanks for your reply's

What we have managed to do with our Epygi. In the call routing table we have added a few call routes each specifing different features.

For instance when adding a new call route, in the pattern field we have put 8 (????????) then in the prefix field we have put 183102 this represents (1831) willhide the caller ID and (02) is the area code. So when dialing an 8 digitnumber, it will know straight away what to do by looking in the call route table.

We have also done it for Mobile phone numbersand other 10 digit number by doing the same process. smileys/smiley4.gifEdited by: jetsupport
