I have and Epygi Quadro 4X and use Grandstream GXV3000 handsets. I have recently upgraded the Grandstream firmware to 1.2.5.3. Now, if try to put someone on hold, the system hangs up the call.
I am running Quadro firmware 5.2.49 which the release notes says supports Grandstream GXV 3140 and GXV3175 but not GXV3000. Has anyone else seem this?

Dear Sir,
I would like to let you know that there is no firmware version 1.2.5.3 for the GXV-3000.
For your information the latest firmware version is 1.2.3.7.
We have tested locally but we weren't able to reproduce the issue.
Could you please share a wireshark trace while doing a test, this way we can have a clear idea about the root cause of issue.
Best Regards,
GSSupport

What Phone model should be set under line settings in the Epygi Quadrox. Currently there is no option for the GXV-3000. I have it set to GXP-2000 as that is what worked before I upgrade to the latest firmware version 1.2.3.7 and the version 5.2.49 of the Epygi firmware.

When the specific phone model is not found in the IP line settings page then you have to choose "Other" and configure the phone manually. Choosing another (wrong) model from the list, even though from the same vendor, may result in incorrect functionality of the phone because Quadro will automatically generate the configuration for the model you have specified, which may be incompatible with the real phone model connected to Quadro.

I changed the IP line settings to other and rebooted the Grandstream but it made no difference. When you place a caller on hold the phone hangs up the call. Do I Need to reboot the Epygi or is there something else I can do.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for the confirmation regarding the firmware.
In order to do a Wireshark trace you will need to connect the phone and a computer running Wireshark to a HUB in order to sniff the phone traffic.
However could you please give us more details regarding the issue :
Is this issue happening even when calling an internal extension ?
Or only happening when you try to put on hold the calls made through FXO gateway ?
You may also contact us directly by opening a Ticket in order to follow up with you directly on the issue :

Thank you.

The issue is happening with both internal and external calls. The GXV300 goes to the on-hook screen when you press the hold button. I have now checked through the admin pages on the epygi PABX and the connection is not disconnected when this occurs as the epygi still shows the call as active. The call does also not disconnect to an external caller. I have also tried using the on hold with an AAstara cordless IP phone and it works without a problem which leads me to believe it is an issue with the one of the settings in Grandstream which occurred after I upgraded it to 1.2.3.7.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your feedback.
Unfortunately i'm not following exactly with you on your last comment, so basically now the call is not dropped when you press the hold button ?
Can you please describe the steps you're using to reproduce the issue, have you changed something on the phone/Epygi ?
Please open a ticket within our support service to follow up with you directly and get all the necessary details to troubleshoot your issue and fix it as soon as possible :
