Hi,

I have a Quadro4xi, firmware version 5.1.39.
We have connected a ISDN line (point to multipoint connection) and we have 2 MSN numbers (eg. 99999, 88888)

How can we setup our system so that a specific internal extension (eg. 414) use a specific MSN number (eg. 88888) as outgoing number?

Thanks,
George

Hello George,

You can do the following:
1. Configuration of ISDN Trunk:
* Go to Telephony->ISDN Trunk Settings page and click on Trunk 1 link;
* On the second page of opened wizard ("MSN Settings" page) check MSN and press Next button;
* Put appropriate MSN numbers (eg. 99999, 88888) on the "MSN Number(s)" fields, select the destination where the incoming calls will be routed from the "Route Incoming Call to" drop-down list, disable "Use Default outgoing Caller ID" and "Advanced Settings" services and finish the wizard.

2. Configuration of Call Routing rule:
* Go to Telephony->Call Routing->Call Routing Table and add (or edit) the CR rule which provide the possibility to make an outgoing calls via ISDN network;
* Put the following parameters: "Destination Number Pattern" - you can specify any pattern, lets say it is 9*, "Number of Discarded Symbols" - 1 (to remove the the first "9"), "Destination Type" - ISDN, "Filter on Source/Modify Caller ID" - enabled, press Next button two times, enable all "Timeslots" and press Next button;
* In the opened page ("Source Filter/Modify Caller ID" page) of CR wizard put the following parameters: "Source Number Pattern" - 414 (According on your example), "Source Type" - PBX, "Number of Discarded Symbols" - 3 (to delete the 414), "Prefix" - 88888 (Your MSN nuber according on your example), finish the wizard.
Also, "Source Number Pattern" field is wildcard supported, so you can, for example, enter the range of extensions which can use appropriate MSN number.
Example: Extensions from 401 to 421 can use that MSN number. "Source Number Pattern" - {401-421}.

I think this description will help you.

Best regards,
Aram.
