I would like to setup an extension that can forward to a mobile (cell phone). So that if internal callers ring it, it just rings the mobile phone, and also, if an incoming caller speaks to the receptionist, the receptionist can transfer the call to the extension and the caller will be connected to the mobile phone. Is this possible? I have tried various ways, and it never seems to work correctly.

Hi,
Obviously the easiest way to implement this is to configure unconditional call forwarding on the extension.
The next step is to determine if this call is going to be routed back
out via the PSTN to the mobile or via a SIP service provider (ITSP).
If you choose the 2nd option, then it is best to set the unconditional
call forwarding type to "Auto" as the call routing table is then parsed.
You can then create an IP>PSTN call route to send the call out over SIP

I had the same issue and after some fiddling stumbled across the above way of forwarding the call. However this defeats the purpose of being able to set the call forwarding on the phone?! I don't want to have to log in to the epygi every time I want to set or unset the call forwarding. Surely there must be another way to do this? I am using Swissvoice IP10s and Snom 320/360 phones. Any suggestions most welcome, we go live tomorrow!

"You can then create an IP>PSTN call route to send the call out over SIP"
I am not sure what this means. I have a call routing rule for the ITSP created by the carrier wizard, are you meaning something additional to that? This might be what I am missing.

You outbound call rules will be filtered to only allow PBX users to use them. Duplicate the outbound call rule, set the pattern to the mobile number you are forwarding to, and set the Inbound Call Type to "Any" and the Inbound Caller Pattern as *

Thanks, that worked perfectly.
