Is there any reason why I can't number an extension 0X?

While trying to migrate a customer with a 3 digit extension scheme I thought I could add a Call Routing rule to map a 3 digit extension to a native 2 digit extension in the quadro.
But the problem is that I can't use extensions number 01 to 09 and in most cases their legacy extension scheme included extensions number X01 to X09.

Also, is there any reason the extensions need to be 2 digits long?

Hello,

You can create one routing record for each 9 extension like this:

Pattern: {101-109}
NDS: 2
Prefix: 1

This will map 101-109 to 11-19.

Pattern: {201-209}
NDS: 2
Prefix: 2
This will map 201-209 to 21-29 and so on.

The limitations are coming from internal reservations.

We considered 2-digit-lenght extensions as the most user-friendly - the less digts user has to dial, the better. Anyway we don't give more than 100 extensions, so why force user to dial 3 or 4 digits?

Up to now there was not many requests for having different extension-lenght, or having it configurable.

"0X" is reserved for future use. But "8X" and "9X" will be open soon :)

Flexible numbering plan is already implemented on all Quadro products, so user can change the Quadro numbering plan to 3 or 4 digit, or keep the default 2-digit scheme. Also it is possible to add an extensions with up to 20-digit lenght.
