Cables, Trains and PBX Blues...

One interesting thing we just learned. One of our customers has a cable internet connection crossing over an electric train track. Whenever the train passes by, they experience over 50% packet loss for that period. Only a couple seconds but enough to drop a call.

Interesting observation but i'm surprised to know that big packet loss during a few seconds disconnects the call connected by Quadro. Is the cable connected directly to Quadro?

Sounds like that cable is fractured and when the train goes over that area it breaks for the time of the train running over it....

I also find "a couple of seconds" packet loss is enough to disconnect the call as being rather odd for a Quadro.
I would suspect something more is involved here.
