Hi there oh illustriuos designers of the Quadro ....
Thank you very much for the ACD functionality, I have 1 customer that has bought the licence, implemented the feature, programmed it up, but has not activated it due to one main problem that I have no answer for ...
They need a simple AGENT Log In and Log Out button - instead of the long winded process that is expected to join a group and log in or out, let alone go on to dnd.
The customer desperately needs this feature, they have many sites where Quadro's are installed, and will be forced to go to another system if we cant deliver this simple function.
Could you please make this a priority, not only for them , but for all future ACD sales.
Or is there another short cut for this already under plans ? If there is, please send me the details.
Regards
Kevin

*83 ;)
Best regards,
David
P.S. This is not the full login/logout functionality (I have more robust implementation in mind, waiting for its turn in the development queue), but it seems to be what you need now :)

Hi there David... *83 then the group .. member number and password if i remember right ...
It needs to be shorter then that... ie recognise the extension number and just asked for a group to log into... that should be it...
so if 800 was the ACD number and my extension was 248 ...
then why is it not possible to just have a key *83800 to log in and perhaps *84800 to log out ?

When did you check that the last time, Kevin? :)
As far as I know, agent just dials *85, and this logs him in/out of all the groups. Nothing needs to be dialed additionally. Please recheck that. The way you are telling about (asking for the group, password, state etc) - is the old (primary) way, which is done using "ACD Agent scenario" in AA. The *85 is different :)

David

Hi David,
My understanding is that *85 gives "Access to the Shared Mailboxes" & *83 gives a message "incorrect ID entered please try again"
We have ACD installed in our own premises and the only way we know to login/out is to a 6 step procedure!
1. dial the ACD AA;
2. then the ACD extension number;then #,
3. then Agents ID (which is different to the extension number); then #,
4. then Password (even if no PW); then#,
5. ACD Group ID (ACD Group Extension); then#,
6. Agents Status ie 1 or 2
So as an example for one of our users (we use 3 digit extensions)
868 (ACD AA); 811# (extension is 311); #; 833# 1or2
ie 13 digits.
(Not really workable) so if there is a simple way that we are missing we would love to give it a try.

Ok, you are right, Andrew - I have misspelled the digit code in my last post: the *85 is the shared VM. The right code for ACD login/logout is *83.
If the phone is a member of ACD group, then dialing *83 from that phone should log you in/out that ACD group. If you get "incorrect ID entered please try again", I would suppose the phone is not a member of any group...
Can you check this?
Best regards,
David
