Hello all, bit of a newbie to all this and I wanted to unlock my SPA2002 so I could use any provider.
My first question would be is the SPA2002 different from the SPA2002-ER?
My model # doesn't include the '-ER' and all I could find were unlocks for it.

The model is new, no new firmware installed as yet.

When I try to access SPA I get prompted with a standard windows user name and password prompt, I have not put in any user or pass of my own and trying the SPA2002-ER login and pass (admin and 0rLhnT34vBg2SqwbSoDyGslvF respectively) does not allow access.

According to the instructions I have found this is supposed to be put in after you actually access the Configuration Menu and click the Admin Login there. Which I cannot access in the first place.

Is there a standard user/pass that is used to access this also?

Hello!
unlocking the SPA2002-ER
For those of you who have a need to unlock the SPA2002-ER that has NEVER seen the network or been provisioned, it's easy. Connect it to a sandbox network (no real internet access) and go to it's configuration page. Hit admin login, and connect as:
user: admin
pass: 0rLhnT34vBg2SqwbSoDyGslvF

Then hit advanced and proceed to remove all references to earthlink from the configuration. Pay careful attention to completely remove the provisioning rule... Once done, reconnect to the network, hit linksys and download the newest spa2002 firmware (3.1.20 right now) and proceed to flash your full version firmware to the device.

I had already connected my spa2002-er to my network and it was provisioned by earthlink automagically, however, I was still able to use the above password and remove the eathlink references (see below for a detailed example of what was removed). My spa2002-er came from the factory running firmware: 3.1.9.(d). I then proceeded to update to 3.1.20 and was successful. However "Provision" was still greyed out and set to "YES" and there was also a GPP greyed out and set to, 5.7.29.1 even after the flash.
