I am aware that the epygi support lan based QOS. does anybody have any information as to the details of this and how the epygi should be configured?
my voice calls are degrading due to pc's active on the lan.
any help appreciated.

You don't need to do anything special to prioritize the IP phone traffic over PC traffic. Any IP phone configured with IP line of Quadro and located on the LAN, gets higher priority than the other "foreign" devices which are not extensions of the Quadro and are using the Quadro just as a network router.

If you have the softphone configured as an IP Line, then the ordinary traffic from the same PC (where you have softphone) will be prioritized... and so may affect voice calls quality.
Not sure this is the reason of the problem in this particular case, but it worth to take this issue into account.

And what happen with the phones with a PC connector and a LAN connector? Is it also priorized the PC´s traffic?
Thanks

What is the prioritization given to analog phones connected. Are these given the same priority as PC traffic? We are using Astra analog phones and some Plantronic headsets connected to lines 1, 2 and 3 of the Quadro4x. Thanks

First, I'll answer the question froim Guillermo (sorry for not noticing that question before :) -
no, the traffic from PC will not be prioritized, if you connect that behind the IP Phone with LAN connector (thats because usually IP Phones are not "routers" for the PCs behind them, but just are bridging the eth packets).

Now the question from pluft:

The analog phones have the most priority. The PC traffic from the LAN is shaped so it doesn't exceed <your bandwidth set in Inte Config Wizard> minus <bandwidth used by the calls>. This may be even close to zero sometimes, so the traffic from the PCs will be closed. If you want to have guaranteed channel for traffic from PCs, you need to set the "Min data rate" parameter in Inet Coinfig Wizard.
