hi,
I have a Quadro 16x as pbx, when I call other IP PBX and the callmanager answer i have to wait till the callmanager finish the welcome message etc, because pressing the extension that I want to comunicate wont work, I press the extension number and the callmanager just keep talking, "this is just when calling other IP PBX". can any one help me with this?
Thank you,
davrays

Is the other IP PBX also Quadro? Or is that something else?
From your description I can suppose that the call is done using a codec other than G.711, and the "Out of band DTMF transport" is switched OFF either on the calling extension, or on the other IP PBX autoattendant, so it doesn't detect the dialed digits.

no, some of these companies use iAN-08E Series IAD. I have enabled codec G.711a, and the "Out of band DTMF transport" I attached a picture of the attendant 00 configuration.
thanks,

Ok, lets make this clear: do you call from Quadro extension to iAN-08E attendant, or vice versa?
Which device is playing the "welcome message"?

I call from quadro extension.
The IAN-08E plays the "welcome message"

one of these companies use a linux asterisk server as callmanager.

Ok, then you will need to enable only G.711 on the Quadro extension which you call from. This will ensure your call is established by G.711, and DTMFs can pass through...

but there is only G.711a, G.711u, G.726-16, G.726-24, G.726-32, G.726-40, G.729a, iLBC. Codecs wich one os these codecs should i use?
Otherwise, other problem i got with onboard lines is that when i call other ip pbx they dont hear me. these lines are configured with the same codecs that I use with IP Lines (for IP Lines I use Zoom voip ATA)

G.711a, G.711u
BTW the telephones need to have the same codecs assigned / allowed.

brandomi, if calling from onboard FXS lines you don't have audio in one of directions, this could mean either an incompatibility between devices (most probably other device doesn't conform to the specs), or a network problem (NAT/routing). Anyway, if you want o solve those problems you have to make network captures (either using ethereal or using netcapture.cgi on the Quadro), and analyse the SIP messaging/RTP streams in those captures. If you have access to Epygi TSS, you can send those captures so we can analyse them for you.

Have same issue with DTMF not acted when calling via a specific ITSP account. When calling the other ITSP it does work proparly. Have tried it both to our Quadro and to remote PBX.
Checked with the ITSP and they said they using RFC-2833 type:101.
Any information on the above?
Thanks

"RFC-2833 type:101" is enabled by the "Out of Band DTMF Transport" on the the Codecs page on the Quadro GUI (and that is laways enabled in default configuration). Quadro fully conforms to that spec, and even to the newer one. So I would suppose the ITSP has problems with implementation of the spec. You can send the SIP and RTP captures to the Epygi tech support to analyse. Probably we can tell, what exactly they are doing wrong.
Best regards,
David

Thanks David, Will check it out. Can you advise on which Codec page on Quadro GUI the "Out of Band DTMF Transport"? Didn't see it on the "RTP Settings Codec Properties:"
Thanks

Right of page on the extension management page is the area you need to look for...
Extension number follow the line of information all the way right and click the codec link.
It will take you to the area needed.
