View Full Version : M32 config for UK (BT) ISDN30

Put in an M32 yesterday and all went smoothly except

- the default settings for the ISDN30 (E1) are clearly not suitable - the PBX doesn't recognise when we plug in the circuit (which is working fine on the client's existing PBX). Does anyone have a crib sheet for UK/BT standard settings?

- I was surprised not to be offered a mapping table of dialled number to delivery point - like we have on the ISDN-2 equipped Q4 - rather the only option appears to be to farwards ALL calls on the ISDN Trunk to an extension, attendant, or teh routing table. OK, we can do what we want in the routing table but it's not as easy as setting up the MSN table on the ISDN-2.

hi there Chris...

for ISDN DID ( Indial ) I use the following format.

In the ISDN trunk settings make sure that it is routed to the CRT.

Create 1 entry in the CRT list as follows :

If your carrier sends 8 digits as the number dialled use the following - in my example I will use a number 95942100 to 95942199 inclusive. My extension number range is 3 digits starting from 111-145 I have a main number of 95942100 that needs to point to my MERg of 400.

crt table 2./ pattern 95942100 nds 8 suffix 400 for day time monday to friday 9:00am to 5:00pm
crt table 3./ pattern 95942100 nds 8 suffix 44111 for night time direct to receptionist voicemail
crt table 4./ pattern 95942* nds 5 sends the rest to extensions
crt table 5./ pattern ??? direct to extensions

That is a similar setup for what I use.

Regards

Kevin

Thanks Kevin. Yes, I can see how this can be handled in the CRT - but the use of the MSN look-up table on ISDN2 saved a lot of hassle, though even there you could choose CRT as teh destination for all calls or for calls to certain numbers, so you have the added flexibility if you need it.
